Earning this distinction makes Morrison Clinic™ the only ASR-accepted spinal surgery center within a 50-mile radius, including both Palm Beach and Broward County.
Admittance to the ASR highlights our team’s commitment to and achievement of providing excellent spinal health care to the South Florida area. More specifically, this ASR partnership recognizes that our neurosurgery center and clinics are engaging in data collection, submission, and implementation practices that ensure our patients are receiving the most up-to-date and highest quality spinal care.
The American Spine Registry is a collaborative endeavor between the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). The ASR initiative seeks to support excellent patient outcomes for spinal care by researching spinal health conditions and procedures. Common spinal conditions captured by the ASR include degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, and disc herniation. Related procedures often studied by the ASR include discectomy, decompression, laminectomy, and fusion surgeries.
The ASR uses their data to create evidence-based benchmarks for practice. These benchmarks guide quality of care evaluations, inform the resources and feedback provided to ASR physicians, and bridge the knowledge-to-practice gap so that patients receive excellent, cutting-edge spinal care.
